Ethical Hacking using the Switch Port Analyser in a Enterprise Network
Abstract
SPAN (Switched Port Analyzer) is a network feature that allows network administrators to monitor network traffic by copying network packets from one port to another. In this research paper, we will discuss the basics of SPAN port and its functionalities. We will also cover how SPAN port works, its advantages, and limitations. Furthermore, we will discuss the different types of SPAN port, including local SPAN, remote SPAN, and RSPAN. Finally, we will also discuss the best practices for configuring and using SPAN ports.
